Choosing The Right Paint Color For Your Business

Posted on

When you are trying to start up a business, you have about a million decisions that you have to make in the process. One of those decisions is what color to paint the walls (both interior and exterior) of your building. This can seem like a small decision in the scheme of things, but it actually is not. In fact, the right color will set the tone for your business endeavors, while the wrong color will throw off clients and customers and even turn them away in some cases. Get to know some of the ways you can go about choosing the right paint color for your business. Then, once you settle on your color, you can hire a commercial painting contractor to get over to your building right away to get the painting process started.

Consider Your Brand

One of the factors to consider when you are selecting a paint color for your business is your overall brand. Have you chosen a logo for your business yet, for example? The logo likely has colors. What are those colors? Would your walls look good painted in some variation of those colors?

Additionally, when considering your brand, there is more than just your logo to think about. Your brand is also your overall aesthetic and the tone you would like to set for your business. What type of clients are you going for? What style do you wish to portray? Are you trying to be young and hip or traditional and sophisticated? All of these questions are important to ask when selecting a color for your business.

A more traditional and sophisticated company may be best sticking to neutral tones or even just black and white, whereas a young, hip business may prefer bolder, brighter colors. Be sure you stay on brand when you select your paint colors.

Consider the Space You Are Working With

The space you are working with in your building is also an important consideration when selecting a paint color for your business. If your offices are already fairly small, for example, you do not want to pick colors that are overly deep and dark. This can make the space feel even smaller. Choosing lighter tones will make the room feel a little bigger which you want for your customers and clients.

Additionally, if you have something in your space like a beautiful exposed brick wall, or something similar, you do not want to take away from that style element. Choose colors that complement rather than clash with existing elements, and you will go far to enhance the space you are working with.

Now that you know some of the factors to consider when choosing the right paint color for your business, you can settle on a color and hire your commercial painting contractors right away.
